Die Müdigkeit des Unendlichen

ceramic, 2021

These architectural fragments form a miniature landscape of a still-life referencing magic realism named after a painting by surrealist Giorgio de Cirico “La Lassitude de l' infini” from 1912. It is a ongoing series where almost each piece is manufactured with a different ceramic body and technique. Each piece can stand for itself or can be attributed in assembled work groups. I see them as a collection of artifacts of culture forming earth.
